The position is associated with the Project A01 „Nonlinear Interactions of Rough Waves“ within the Collaborative Research Center 1283. This project is devoted to the mathematical analysis of nonlinear dispersive evolution equations, with a focus on the longtime behaviour of solutions. The employment is designed to encourage further academic qualification.
Your Tasks
- collaborative research related to Project A01 (65 %)
- teaching duties to the extent of 4 LVS (25 %)
- cooperation in planning and organisation of scientific events, e. g. workshops, and academic self-administration (10 %)

Your Profile
We expect
- academic degree in mathematics or in a relevant subject area
- PhD in Mathematics
- very good English language skills (oral and written)
- knowledge and experience in dispersive evolution equations and harmonic analysis, demonstrated by dissertation oder scientific publications
Preferable qualifications
- independent, responsible and committed work attitude
- cooperative and team-oriented work ethic
- German language skills, sufficient for teaching in German, or willingness to obtain a command of German
