Research Position - Text Generation/Natural Language Processing
The Faculty of Engineering at Bielefeld University is looking for a research assistant to work on the EFRE project LLM4KMU. The project deals with the question of how smaller language models can be effectively adapted to specific application domains through fine-tuning, transfer, in-context learning, etc.. The aim of the project is to develop best practices for the use of LLMs in smaller companies.
The post holder should work in particular in the area of text generation and develop and evaluate new methods for smaller companies. Conceivable examples include methods for interacting with unstructured data or methods for improving and maintaining corporate language. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for leading and implementing the development of a benchmarking platform for LLMs. In research, questions of robustness, reliability, avoidance of hallucinations play an important role.
The post holder will have the opportunity to carry out their own doctorate. The pursuit of a doctoral project is expressly desired.

- experiences in programming

- experience in the field of natural language processing or natural language generation

- experience in software development in a non-academic environment
- salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L
